ASSET-BASED LENDING

is a type of short-term lending based upon leveraging an organization’s or investor’s hard assets to facilitate the loan. If a business has assets such as real estate, inventory, equipment and machinery, those items can be used as collateral to acquire funding from a capital provider. When an asset-based lender – such as Commercial Capital BIDCO – provides funding to the company, they will then place a lien on the asset.
